Resolved: Bathrooms Plus Of Peoria, IL / Bath Planet Ripped Us Off, Broke Our House

Bathroom Plus owner, Mike, fixed all of my issues. His team came to my home and made sure I was 100% satisfied with the final product.

I would actually use Bathrooms Plus again in the future.

They have great reviews online and I think my experience was a one off issue caused by a few workers who were reprimanded for their work.

Overall the quality of the bathroom renovations (both of my bathrooms) are EXCELLENT.

I would now highly recommend Bathrooms Plus of Peoria for anyone looking for quality work.

My experience with Bathrooms Plus of Peoria (which also goes by Bath Planet) was awful. My wife and I decided to have the company replace the Bathtub in her bathroom and the shower in my bathroom. The total cost of $12,000 sounded reasonable for a lifetime warranty and high-end materials. Admittedly the shower materials are top-grade, however the craftsmanship that went into their work was awful. The company destroyed a ceiling in our den and put holes in my wife's ceiling and wall and then LEFT!!! I had to call the owner Mike and have him send people back at our house to fix the damage. They didn't bother to find matching paint, but instead just filled in the holes with plaster and left. In the main bathroom they smudged a bunch of silicon and didn't bother to fix it until I made them come back out again and they left a huge silicon smudge at the top of the shower and told me there was nothing they could do about it. They also made my wife's bathroom floor incredibly filthy, leaving silicon to harden on the floor and other debris I couldn't scrub off myself, they had to come back out and scrub it with denatured alcohol. They also damaged the wall BEHIND THE SHOWER, causing the nails to pop out. This was an obvious case of the workers hitting the drywall behind the shower and causing the damage. Again nobody checked their work and it went left unchecked after they left. This has not been fixed at this time. Furthermore, in my bathroom they installed a $5000 shower and put in a permanent shower rod, even though I told the owners brother, who was also the salesman, that we wanted a tension rod JUST LIKE MY WIFE'S SHOWER. They also said they would replace the paneling on the wall behind my shower and they replaced it with a piece of paneling that wasn't even the same pattern (it has double lines instead of single. When I stepped in my shower for the first time I was burned because they reversed the hot/cold water, a huge violation. Marisa, the receptionist at the company said "they tested the water" which was a 100% lie, they didn't have the drain hooked up when the installers left and that was done the next day. The owner Mike also admitted that they NEVER TESTED THE WATER. They also left the crawl space window open and it was free for animals to crawl in all night until I discovered the non-replaced window laying on the ground in my backyard the next day. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against Bathroom Plus of Peoria / Bath Planet. I urge anyone thinking of using Mike and his crew to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I am posting pictures of the damage on Yelp to verify this review and to set a warning for anyone else.
